In a cold, dark, starry night
Moon was full, young and bright,
The western wind luminary and quiet
Spirits were raised after the twilight,
She was lovely, tender and sprite
Moonlight seemed to glitter her sight,
Her rosy cheeks soft and skin white
It was lonely impulse of her delight,
My hands were numb, skin tight
I felt her standing me beside,
She left her smile in my eyes
I felt me with her in paradise,
Even the stars seemed to shiver
I was on the bank of a river,
My breathe often slow and upright
It was a wonderful dream of my life
