Ode To A Lost Love
by Maria Mascato
As I lay here, tears run down my face My heart and cold and empty place You ask me why these tears I cry? There for a love I let pass by.
This love was true and strong and sweet The kind that sweeps you off your feet. A love you find once in your life A love that's free from toil and strife.
My memories are mine to keep To comfort me when I can't sleep. His smile - his laugh - his voice - his touch All these things that meant so much.
So if you find a love that's true Someone who would die for you. Hold on - hold on with all your might Or tears you'll cry on a lonely night.
