Secret Place

Loneliness lurks in every corner of her mind.
So she retreats to another time when life was kind.
The memories of him warm her soul for a little while.
She allows his love to wash over her and it makes her smile.
She closes her eyes and she slowly drifts away.
To a different place, to a happier day.
To a time where true love was all she could feel.
His taste, his touch, his smell are all so very real.
She knows this is the place she truly will aways belong.
Yet they wont let her go back to right the wrongs.
So she visits this place as often as she possibly can.
Because this is the only way that reality she can stand.
