Memories Of Us

Autumn leaves, crisp cool air, the feel of the wind on my face, all of these things bring you to my mind.
These things take me back to you and back to that special place, those precious times.
Remember the lake and how we watched the sun go down, the birds sang a lullaby as you held me tight.
The moon and stars shimmered down on us and let us know that our love was so true and so right.
We were as one in those days, we drank each others love and barely took a breath.
We swore we would be together forever nothing could break our bond, it would last even after death.
Now its twenty years later and we are miles apart and we have missed so much of our love and lives.
As I think back to those times, my eyes fill with tears, I remember saying its over, I just dont remember why.
