Who would've thought we would come this far
The first kiss, the love notes, the talks in the car.
NO ONE!, because it was just between us
Its hard to believe at times it became such a fuss.
People suspected, friends thought, but none totally sure
That the special thing we once had was true and pure.
I pinched myself several times to see if this was real
And maybe even sometimes doubted the way you made me feel.
Hoping to pass you in the hall to see your smiling face
Sent a warm feeling to my heart as it beat in a fast pace.
And knowing that no one knew about us made it even better
Especially when we found a place to be alone together.
I always tried to make you happy though sometimes hard
Like the time I came over just to give you the thank you card.
You were all I ever dreamed off, and wanted nothing more
And the day you said I love you, I probably fell to the floor.
We had ups and downs for a while but the feeling was still there
But after a while things changed like a shift in the air.
I cant explain what exactly happened, but it happened fast
One minute it was good, now its not going to last.
We were coming to an end, and I was feeling bad
But not understanding the reasons made me really sad.
Even though we remain just friends, its still hard to see
That just yesterday, I felt we were meant to be.
Still nobody knows the secret that we longfully had
And after all of that, I can say that I am glad.
