Sitting in this room
Darkness surrounds me
Nothing but gloom
And memories around me
Memories of the past
Thoughts of the future
How long can they last
Within my creature?
The days are gone
When you were with me
Now I sit alone
And memories stay with me
Memories of our love
Near and dear
Come and leave me
With a flood of tears
The light is flooding on
Memories are fading
But still I sit here
Looking out and waiting
A light of hope
In my heart I keep
For you may come
When in thoughts I am deep
And then all the gloom
And memories around me
Will no longer come
And surround me
