Heartbreak can involve humiliation
A separation of my heart from my brain
I thought I was gonna make a revelation
To cut myself off from the pain

Nowadays I won't disclose my idealism for you
Though it still remains inside
I wonder if you'll ever bring me back to you
I know long ago this feeling should have died

You reminded me of all these emotions
The ones I wished were gone
I'm trying to forget all your devotions
And the light in my heart you turned on

They're not going to leave my head
Though I wish they'd go away
I wish I'd feel this way for my boyfriend instead
But here in my heart you will stay.
