He sits there, my heart in his hands,
Caresing it with his gentle touch
And protecting it from all that near.
He allows me to feel loved and secure with who I am,
Making me realize the love we both share.
Then he takes my heart from his craddled hands,
Holds it in the air,
He twists and pulls at it ,
Ripping it into two.
My feelings are now shattered,
And new tears are born.
One single thought remains...
Will I ever love again?
