Today I Sit

Today I sit and think of her
I wonder where she is
Does she feel me reach for her
Does she taste my kiss

I look upon her gingerly
I handle her with care
I look into her and I know
Without her I am bare

At times I come across too rough
I seem to demand a lot
It is the way my soul takes charge
To keep hold of what I've got

Whenever my soul opens up
And searches for her touch
It reacts with passion and with want
And needs her oh so much

I can't be with her all the time
At times I wish I could
And so I battle with myself
And cry more than I should

So today I sit and wonder
Where my soul would be
Would I feel the same about my life
Without her wanting me...
