Tear down my mental armor,
No one sees through it like you.
You know all my hidden fears.
I wear a mask to hide my scars,
But you always know who I am.
My love for you is unmerciful.
Believing that I was selfless
In my impending suffering,
I didn't want to say goodbye.
You were the fire in my soul
And the air that I breathed.
I wanted nothing more.
The phantom of your love
Lurks in my darkest hollows,
Drowning in a casket of tears.
Time and distance never matter.
The dream of you reoccurs
Like a vengeance on my reason,
Breaking my reckless heart
And injuring my delicate mood.
