Voices from my past longing to last
Songbirds flying through my mind
You brought life to my heart
But from the start you never knew me.
And I never knew you but for a moment,
Just a moment lost behind closed eyes.
Sounds and memories of days past
Voices from my past longing to last
I am much older now, but not much wiser
Still touching the lies in the skies
Never knowing how to break the chains
And trees still lost in shadows
Feeling the grass with invisable tears
Hearing your voice no more fears....
