On the first night he touched her.
He stood there amazed.
There was an angel before him,
In all her beauty and grace.
His fingers they trembled.
His eyes sparkled, they gleamed.
He gazed at this beautiful creature,
And time stood still, or so it seemed.
She kissed him so softly.
It tasted so sweet.
With her by his side,
He would be complete.
Their passion burned brightly
In the heat of the night.
Something so sacred
Felt so perfectly right.
Her skin like soft velvet,
Her hair as spun gold;
Could she be the one
To have and to hold?
He wanted to hold her
And feel forever her touch.
The question was pondered,
Too soon or too much?
He took nothing for granted
And thanked God for this day,
For the angel beside him
Whom he wanted to stay.
He thought of his gift
With the new morning light.
He thought to himself,
I wouldve been happy
With a kiss goodnight.
He watched as she slept
And heard each breath
That she took,
Without even a secret
Kept in a hearts open book.
The secret hed hidden
Was painfully clear.
Loneliness was his livelihood,
But he had shed his one final tear.
He couldnt mistake it,
He was falling in love.
It came with some help
From the good Lord above.
He gazed at this man
With his pure heart of gold,
And decided to send him
An angel to hold.
