and I got some.
I wished for peace,
and I got none.

and none came.
I wished for more,
just the same.
I wished for the stars,
some came out.
I wished for someone
and they gave a shout.
I wished for music,
and a tune played.
I wished for friends,
and some I saved.
I wished for a girl,
and she made me blue.
I wished no more,
and baby, I found you.
