Forget his name, that so sweet face Forget his kiss with his warm embrace Forget the way he caressed your skin Oh you were such a gullable thing Before you were precious, Now youre just scared You thought he loved you, He told you he cared. No-one could trust him Or give him a chance But innocent you let him take your hand. He made your slow calm pacing heart dance Your body pulsated with so much romance You didnt know that all would go wrong Your friends were the right ones all along. You deserted them to be home with him After a while he no longer stayed in He went out most nights not a care in the world, You started to realise this man had grown cold. He returned sometimes to wash and be fed Not very often it has to be said. You knew all those times that he lay in your room That the scent on his body was not your perfume. No perfume to you did he ever send, Who was this woman, was she a friend? Is it her he has gone to now Its come to an end? Doesnt he know broken hearts never mend? You may have shed tears and wept for hours But now is the time to show some of your power. Forget. Forget. Forget. But remember he has chosen her And life will no longer be so much of a blur.
