Looking and Learning
by Kathy Kimbler
We all go through life looking for the one.
Suddenly, all of our dreams come true
We loose who we are in what we become
We change desperately to keep
Our bit of sunshine and our dream
What we think is reality.
And we loose a piece of ourselves
Our souls slowly die out and loose who we are
That spark that we once were, so long ago.
This is truly a blessing in disguise
Because we can't see it at the time
We are blinded by our soul's tears.
We cry from the inside out and heal.
We become strong and gain self worth.
We realize love was there the whole time.
We understand even beauty is ugly at times.
Even sunshine can burn us...even stars fade.
We understand this when we hurt the most.
But oh how we grow.
