And the beat of the drum

Singing out loud
To get you in the mood
Checking out your competition
Determined to win

So smooth
So quick
So beautiful
As I sit and watch you dance

Now after all this time
Things are coming to an end
Leaving me with just memories
Never getting the courage to tell you

Telling you exactly what I thought of you
