I close my eyes And I see your face Like a beacon in the night Welcoming. Warm. Inviting. Calling me home.
You embrace me with your smile And I can feel your love wrap around me Like the security blanket I had when I was a child Wide-eyed. Eager. Anxious to grow up Into the young woman That I am today.
Wishing. Waiting. Hoping. Praying. For my Prince Charming to come take me away.
Far away From my inner demons Who haunt me Torment me Tell me that I am not worthy to be loved By someone like you.
You are the epitome Of all I have ever wanted Yet who I never imagined Could Would Want me.
So I run from you Insecure. Hiding. Afraid of all you have to offer me.
But the love in your eyes The sweet sound of your voice The warmth of your caress The thought of your lips on mine Draws me closer Makes me weak
I shudder at the thought Of us together Bodies intertwined Two people becoming one Against the world
For you are the forbidden fruit That fell from the tree And I want to taste you Savor your flavors One… By… One…
Devour you with my passion Undeniable. Uncontrollable. Unfathomable.
Until we explode from ecstasy And fall asleep in each other’s arms Enveloped in love’s rapture Only to wake And do it Again.
