Someone You Knew
by Cinderella
I’ve fallen in love while you’ve been gone. And when I think of him, nothing feels wrong. He’s always there to protect me from harm, Always there with his strong arms. He tells me he loves me and showers me with gifts, Just the thought of him, my heart, he lifts. The butterflies I get could fly me away. There’s never enough time in the day. We’re always together, even when it’s rough, He says he can’t tell me he "love’s me" enough. He showers me with gifts and beautiful songs he sings, But waking up next to him out numbers these things. He misses me when I haven’t been gone long, He says, "in my heart, you’ll always belong." But then.... I wake up in the morning, and he’s just a dream. A fixation of mine that I try to keep. This mirage is you, or how we were before. These memories I have, I just can’t ignore. I thought I’d let you know, that I’ve found someone new... Too bad for me, It’s the old you.
