Lost Love
by Stephen Costanza
To be graced with a copmpaion, so totally in love.
The years seem to be reduced to seconds, as they pass.
Blessed with children, being two, become as one.
You build together a life, to last forever.
Life is not fair, being neither right or wrong.
All that is earned, prestige, and wealth.
Is naught, but a shadow, in comparison, with the love between the two. If one is taken, so swift and sudden, the matter is not who.
Just to cherish the time that was, before it was riven.
One must give thanks, for it was God given.
All was a gift, wether short or long, for is the time to mourn!
God bestows this gift on just a chosen few.
It is not for us to question why, or who.
Not to blame, or time for anger, for so few are so blessed!
To always the memories one must keep, the best of times.
To go with you, you must survive, and keep the spirit with you, for all time.
For who are we to question The One, Most Divine!
To be able to accept, a matter.. OH SO CRUEL.
The new life were they given, one of paradise and bliss.
To guard us also, when our paths go amiss!
