It's dark and warm, but yet I sit so cold.
Thinking of the days that we've had and the days we hold.
So precious in our hands, like a glass bottle
Held in the hands of a drunken man.
Falling to the ground, within the air, do we brake?
Or do we contain the certainty
To be connected for life, heart, mind, and soul.
The journey we take is only the beginning
To what we spend in eternity.
And my eternity begins with you, so I pray.
Form behind the bar to our table,
Our first hello, our first kiss.
Demons come upon us, taking the anguish emotions within us,
Making promises just to break, really.
Fight, struggle, war, but who wins?
Whatever you call it, may it spill upon us,
Like that bottle carelessly handled.
We begin a delightful relationship,
Our love rising into our lives
Yet to bring another succulent day that I spend with you.
Yet to find us becoming a long neck bottle,
Torn from the hands of a chronic drinker.
Has the bottle hit yet?
Passed around the table,
Our life feels like it has become a part of everyone.
Everyone knows... but knows what?
Painful words are spread about,
Causing a distance which is held for so long.
A possession for one, but a heart break for another..
I push you away but I cant push you away from others,
Trust me I tried.
Agony is lived as the bottle is past from one person to another,
But none want a drink.
Is it the covered truth and the hidden secrets, who knows.
The music changes and people dance a different rhythm,
Have we found true love or will things remain the same?
I love you, you love me too, but is everything is as it seems?
It's almost time to leave and the bottles clash together,
But can you hear that?
Are you deaf? Of course
Because it’s the unpleasant sound of my heart breaking,
And it's killing me.
That bottle is picked up one last time,
Do you want to take the chance?
A love of a life time, or a friendship ruined.
So falling through the air the bottle hits the ground,
Does it remain one piece, or in little pieces is it found?
