It all started out when I was searching the Net Looking for someone with whom I’d connect I found her, I think, right here on my screen I’m here; she’s there, 800 miles in between So I sit at my keyboard and she sits at hers Building a friendship with our electronic words I wish I could shrink down and run through the wires And if she was agreeable, act out my desires She says we mesh, we get along so well How it will end, only time will tell Wish I could hold her, bury my face in her hair See her face to face, how I wish I was there The way she writes The way she talks Makes me wonder, Is it really too far to walk? If someone had asked I’d never have bet I’d be lucky enough To find an Angel on the net
