Your love came over me like a strong
ocean wave, I had no control.
You loved me like no one ever has.
You gave me love that I have never known.
I have loved before, but never knew

So strong, that I was afraid.
Afraid to truly trust you
and your love.
I never meant to hurt you.
Never did I mean to cause you
so much pain.
But I did, and I changed the way
you love me.
Now I realize how much your love
meant to me.
How much I need it to live each day.
How much I need you to live my life.
My heart is heavy knowing how
I hurt you.
You tell me you need time.
I will give you all the time you need.
I will wait forever for you
and your love.
Hoping and praying you will forgive me.
Because this love is like nothing
I have ever known.
No matter how long it takes,
you will find me forever waiting
