What Do I Do?

You said some things to me tonight that really made my head swim,
Now I’m questioning do I really want to go down that road again?
You say you love me and to just trust you and let go,
But I wonder if that can ever really happen, I just don’t know.
My heart so wants to believe in you, and my mind does too,
Yet I still remember all the times when my tears fell because of you.
The times you promised to love me forever and to never let me go,
The times you walked out on me and your love you failed to show.
You see, my love, the memories are still hidden deep inside my heart,
So do I take another chance on love or just let us stay apart?
The answers I continue to search for each and every day,
You are my heart and soul and I love you in every way.
So as I try to sort through this confusion that has me torn in two,
I will continue to hold on and each night I’ll dream of you.
