Dear God listen to my Prayer
Dear God...
I'd like to find my Daddy,
I'm sure he is a man so old
He went to fight in Europe
Are the stories that we were told
There are many people like me...
Been living in hope and, sigh
And they want to find their daddys
Before they grow old and die
So I ask you Lord to help us
To take this feeling we have deep inside
Then we can lay down beside you Lord
With love and a heart of pride
We would like to see our Daddys
Just maybe to hear him say
I didn't know about you little one...
I'm sorry... I had to go away
But now I will never leave you...
And you will always be deep within
And my heart and your heart will be together for the years
Please... Please forgive my only sin
