It is hard to believe it has been over a year
We have shared a lot of laughs and even some tears
It seems like only yesterday we were in separate states
Look at us now, we do not even go out on dates
Six months have passed since we had our baby boy
Sometimes he drives us crazy,
but he will always be our pride and joy
You asked me to marry you
And I said yes as my love is true
Lately things have been tough
and so you wonder how my love can still be
You have given my reasons it should not be,
in fact there have been at least three
But I have seen another side of you,
one you do not often show
The thought of that side proves what I already know
I know that I love you for that caring side that only I see
I know that I love you for the support you give to me
I know that I love you for all that you do
But most of all I know that I love you for just being you
