I love you for who you are, not for who I want you to be. I love you for how I feel when I am with you. I love you for making me more of what I can be. I love the little things more than the big things.
I love your smile, The twinkle in your eye, Your little giggle, Your touch, Your tender and kind and loving heart, Your spirituality, And the silent wisdom behind those eyes.
Ive seen so many successes built from loss. Loving, happy people who are rediscovering lives together, Blessed with a new understanding And appreciation of life and of each other, Tempered in wisdom through their tears and pain. They are destined to succeed. Each contributing experiences from a previously successful relationship.
Theyll never again take the little things for granted; Giving thanks each day for all their blessings: A simple touch, A smile, A meal prepared with love, Something fixed, Carrying out the trash, The smell of home and cooking, Sleeping in, Making love, Planning a trip, A laugh, A quiet talk, A shoulder to lean on, A breast to rest a head on, A lap to curl into, Every little kindness, Every courtesy, Every glance, A snuggle or a hug, Each one a special gift.
The routine is no longer routine. Every day and every little thing is a blessing.
I watch couples taking all of this for granted. They expect things from each other. They take the little things as routine And never know, never see how blessed they are.
Giving people are fulfilled by giving. And in giving, they receive, And their lives are full, Their purpose complete, And their joy boundless.
The little things.
They arent little at all, Just ignored behind the noise of the day. The big things are imposed by man. They dont matter. But the little things are the thread of life. Through them God bestows joy and peace and happiness.
I will NEVER again take for granted these blessings.
Let US share these little giving, loving joys with each other. I cant imagine any way to live closer to heaven. Let the angels rejoice at the joy. As every day dawns with a purpose, A fullness of heart, A celebration of life, And the joy of sharing all of the special little things With one special loved person.
Please share my life with me.
