How Do I Love Thee
by David Johnson
How do I love thee Let me count the ways, I love thee in my slumber I love thee through my days I love thy being As the morning Loves the dew You made me a part of your life Letting me know Your love is true But unlike the dew that fadith With the morning sun I will hold your beauty forever Captured in my minds eye Fading not with the dawn of each new day But renewed each times I see you What more can I say, That I will love you forever, That my love will never die, That I could never forget you No matter how hard I tried. That my heart has belonged to you Since the dawn of time These things have always been true So embrace them my love With your very soul And our love will live forever, Written upon our life’s pages Never growing old, As the pages turn to dust, Scattered by the eternal sands of time It’s not about you, it’s not about me Together held by our love Throughout eternity There will always be An us
