Another day gone by,
And still nothing from you.
What am I waiting for,
Why do I want to try?
I think about all the times I have hated you,
But the good outnumber them.
I know all that was wrong between us,
But still I cry.
I cry for the laughter,
I cry for the sadness,
But most of all I cry for the sister that I lost.
I want so much for you to be at my side,
But I’m still not sure why.
My friends tell me don’t,
My heart tells me do.
I am so confused,
With no way to get ahold of you.
I thought for a second things were fine,
That second has long since passed,
And I am left with my pain again.
I am traveling backwards,
Happiness unto sadness.
This sadness comes and goes,
But the pain it causes is almost unbearable.
I love and miss you so much,
Just something I need to learn to deal with.
Things can never be fine between us,
No matter how much you or I might think.
You will travel your road,
And I will travel mine.
