It was a year ago today we had a wedding day.
So many words were promised, but now you’ve gone away.
We promised sun on rainy days,
A light for darkend night.
I hold your picture in my hand
and clasp it oh so tight.
It snowed that faithful day of ours
A paradise awaits.
We talked of snowball fights we’d have and remembering our dates.
"Remember that time I wrote your name
when we were on the beach?"
Yhe words "I love you mon amie" meant more then any speach.
Crystal clear "would you marry me" I seen within a heart.
I never dreamed our wedding day would be the day we’d part.
I bring you flowers on special days and thoughts of you I carry.
What started out as our honeymoon I never thought I’d bury.
If you can see through heavens doors and look into my eyes,
It’s there that you will always find there’s only one reflection.
When my prayers are answered one day by God,
In your arms I’ll find perfection.
