One Day, I'll See You

I never knew how fast your life
Could get turned upside down.
Now I know that it only takes one thing.
That you have accepted but someone else hasn't
To change what has been great for the past year and a half.
When what you have always talked about doing,
All of a sudden goes the other direction in 2 hours,
Worst of all.... I can't change it.
And never will be able to.
I've never hurt so much.
It will never stop hurting
Or leave my mind for the rest of my life.
When your girlfriend takes
An unborn life that is half of you.
You'd understand if your ever lost someone
That you had never seen, talked to, or even had a name.
Someone that I've cared for
With all of me, but she didn't.
Hope to see you for the first time when I get there.
Dad always loved you... always will.
God bless whomever you were.
Please take care of him or her for me.
