I wrote you a letter
But you didn't receive it
I sent one again
But you deceived it
Little did I know
You weren't even there
Which is now I know why
You didn't care
You didn't write back
Which I thought you would

For earth to turn good
When I finally got a letter
From a soldier it said;
I'm sorry miss
But your hubby, he's dead
Then I looked back
And realized I was wrong
My man is a hero
And forever he will move on
Being strong
